By obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from Liberty University, you'll be prepared for a future in advanced practice nursing in careers such as Clinical Nurse Specialists. The MSN program is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools; Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools; and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. In addition, Liberty is approved by the Virginia State Council of Higher Education. Liberty’s 36 credit hour MSN program is based on curriculum guidelines originally set up by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, and offers two clinical tracks: acute care and community health.
Students interested in nursing education can develop goals and objectives that focus on the role of nurse educator within either clinical track option.With the guidance of faculty mentors, students will develop clinical practicum experiences, tailored to meet the individual interests and learning needs of each student. Some different examples of these clinical specialties include emergent care, critical care, cardiac, gerontology, and parish nursing.
