This is a special dual degree program that integrates the basics of
nursing with the important role of a business administrator. A real focus
on the modern health care industry and management skills are
emphasized. This special program is 65 credits. It combines important
information from both degree programs together, in order to create a dynamic
degree that allows students to obtain a real understanding of decision
making. The concepts taught include things like analysis of complex
management problems and how to make an important decision within a specified
time frame. In addition, there are basic nursing concepts and theories
taught so that each student has a well rounded background in both the
business side as well as the nursing side of this field. In addition, a
study of the structure, mission, and the culture of today’s modern
health care organizations is focused upon. Successful completion of all 65
credits is necessary in order to receive this specialized degree.
Students may re-take any classes they desire to, or if they do not finish
them successfully the first time.
